The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has paid the sum of One Billion, Five Hundred and Sixty Five Million, One Hundred and Ninety Thousand, Six Hundred and Twenty Three naira, Twelve kobo (1,565,190,623.12) to Five Hundred (500) Next of Kins of the Deceased Nitel/Mtel Pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme.
The Next of Kins who are beneficiaries of deceased Nitel/Mtel Pensioners who died after service have completed the process of documentation and have been cleared for payment by the Federal Auditors.
PTAD, Executive Secretary, Sharon Ikeazor said the timely payment was achieved through diligent verification exercise conducted by Directorate to authenticate genuine Noks before payment was made.
She assured those who are yet to be paid of the Directorate’s commitment to see that all NoKs receive their entitlement.
