Remita Leads Local And Int’l Fintechs As Approved Electronic Application Channel For Landmark Dangote IPO

Remita, Nigeria’s leading financial technology company, has been approved by the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) as one of the electronic application channels for the historic Dangote Initial Public Offering (IPO), enabling eligible investors to subscribe to the offer digitally through its platform.

The milestone coincides with the launch of Remita’s newly upgraded mobile App, giving eligible individual and corporate investors across Nigeria direct, convenient access to subscribe to the offer from their smartphones when subscriptions open on September 14, 2026.

The inclusion of fintech platforms in major capital market transactions is a transformative step for financial accessibility in Nigeria which will set a new benchmark for how future public offers are conducted.”

The Dangote Refinery IPO is scheduled to open on September 14 and run until October 13, 2026, with 4.1 billion shares being offered at ₦525 per share.

The minimum subscription is 10 shares, valued at ₦5,250, with investors able to subscribe for additional shares in line with the terms of the offer.

Remita’s participation reflects its position as a major fintech player in Nigeria and commitment to providing secure financial infrastructure.

As an approved electronic application channel Remita will be leveraging its great brand recognition, , trust earned over the years among millions of users and experience in managing high impact fintech initiatives to support digital participation in a public offer of this magnitude.

Participation remains subject to standard offer requirements, including necessary stockbroking and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) details. Prospective investors are advised to review the official offer documentation before subscribing.

The IPO capability comes as Remita expands the experience available to individual users through its upgraded mobile App. Remita Payment Services Limited (RPSL) is a payments company on a mission to empower everyone everywhere to do more by simplifying payments.

Its infrastructure serves individuals, businesses, governments, financial institutions and fintechs, supporting financial inclusion, operational efficiency and digital transformation across Nigeria and Africa.

The upgraded App brings delightfully brings diverse lifestyle activities into a consolidated mobile experience, allowing users to manage multiple accounts across different banks and handle everyday transactions from one place.

Users can send money instantly to Nigerian and African bank accounts, pay utility and government bills, print verified RRR receipts, automate routine bills payment, and set up standing order and direct debit transactions.

In addition, users can buy tickets for local and international flights, events, and movies, organise Esusu groups, and set up and track budgets. For eligible investors, the same platform will also provide access to participate in the Dangote public offer.

Speaking on the upgraded mobile experience, Atanda added: “the new Remita App is designed to give individuals a simpler and more organised way to manage their financial activities from one trusted space.

As digital payments become increasingly embedded in everyday life, the next opportunity is to help people bring those transactions together and manage their finances more effectively.
