The Speaker of the House of Reps, Femi Gbajabiamila, has assured that lawmakers will use 2021 legislative year to strip away predatory regulatory policies.
Gbajabiamila, in his address before the commencement of plenary, warned that the government cannot risk policies that will limit the country from participating in new markets.
Gbajabiamila also urged the Reps to help strip restrictive regulative policies; and to end “predatory regulators” targeting young people.
He stated that the 9th House of Reps will focus on improving ease of doing business.
It is worth noting that the President in his New Year address promised to work with the National Assembly; on creating legislative framework to support youths in Fintech and other sector.
