SAHCOL Picks World Customs Organisation Award

The Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited, SAHCOL has been decorated with the Prestigious World Customs Organization (WCO) Award of merit, for showing “exceptional support \collaboration for customs towards the realization of its mandate.”

The award certificate, signed by the Secretary-General, World Customs Organization, Kunio Mikuriya was presented to the Managing Director \CEO, SAHCOL, Oluropo Owolabi, by the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Services, Dikko inde Abdullahi.

While presenting the award certificate of merit to SAHCOL, the Comptroller-General of Customs noted, that in line with World Customs Organization “practice of rewarding excellence, Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL) has been selected as an Outstanding Terminal Operator to receive this year’s World Customs Organization (WCO) Award, for rendering exceptional services to the international customs community.”

The event which played host to stakeholders involved in the Management of International trade in Nigeria is another enviable feat in the life of the growing fortunes of SAHCOL, and also a further testament of the revolution that SAHCOL has brought to Aviation Ground Handling Operations in Nigeria, since its take-over by the Sifax Group in December, 2009.

The new face of SAHCOL has experienced massive deployment of modern state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, construction of  a modern Corporate Headquarter, construction of a first class fully automated Customs Bounded Warehouse and Building, increase in quality trained manpower, International Certifications, increase in clientele base, and many more.

SAHCOL is an Aviation Ground Handling Company (100 percent owned by the SIFAX Group), which has brought its experience to bear in the day to day performance of its duties, which includes Passenger Handling, Ramp Handling, Cargo Handling/Warehousing, Aviation Security, Baggage Reconciliation, Crew Bus and Executive Lounge Services, and other related Ground Handling Services; ensuring that Ground Handling Services to all clientele is executed in an efficient, speedy and safe manner, in line with international best practices, while also ensuring that the right tools are deployed
