Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, has emphasized the strategic role of innovation in driving and achieving the desired transformations as well as consolidating gains in the power sector.

The global giant assured of its strategic commitment to championing innovations and ground-breaking solutions that can enhance the Federal Government’s efforts towards implementing the nation’s power reforms.

Mr. Odoh explained how Schneider Electric’s 40 years+ strong footprint across Africa has remained committed to developing innovations that ensure sustainable social and economic development and access to energy programmes such as  distribution offers, investments funds and vocational trainings all in a bid to support the establishment of solar power in West Africa.

A discovery session on the EcoStruxure architecture was held by Schneider Electric Country President himself, Mr Balaji Lenka, along with experts Okechi Osuagwu, Senior Solutions Architect, IT; and Medium and Low Voltage Product Managers, Omosede Obasohan and Adedamola Olusakin. The session generated lots of interests as it illustrated how the EcoStruxure system of IoT-enabled, open and interoperable solutions improve business efficiency, reliability, safety and connectivity across four end markets: Buildings, Data Centre, Industry and Infrastructure.

The EcoStruxure architecture collects and analyses critical data from sensors to cloud, with key features for implementing smart operations across enterprises such as monitoring environmental parameters and asset utilization, providing predictive analysis, smart alarming and the possibility to make control decisions anytime, anywhere and from any smart device.

This was demonstrated in the session through three Schneider Electric solutions, the Premset smart medium voltage switchgear, Smart Low Voltage Panels and the Galaxy VX Smart UPS.

Schneider Electric Country President Balaji Lenka mentioned in his statement “This has been a successful event and the most attended one yet. We’re glad key stakeholders in the African Power and Electricity markets can appreciate the level of innovation of our solutions and the high standards we set for the West African marketin solar and across industries”. There was also a raffle draw at the event where participants won Schneider Electric solar lamps as well as other APC by Schneider Electric products.
