Close to 480 illegal immigrants mostly from Nigeria and others From Burkina Faso have been apprehended in Ghana.
The illegal immigrants will be deported after proper documentation, authorities in Ghana revealed.
The development was confirmed by the Ghana Immigration agency which revealed that the 480 Nigerian and Burkinabe illegal immigrants were arrested in the Upper East Region.
Furthermore, the undocumented aliens were said to have made their way through Ghana’s porous borders; the upper East Regional Police PRO, DSP David Fianko-Okyere, revealed to the media.
All immigrants were also said not to be wearing face masks, neither have their COVID-19 status being determined.
