The South East Governors have resolved to address the issue of poor road network in the area by constructing ring roads covering about 450 kilometers in the states.
The ring roads when completed will be able to connect all the states in the area.
The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Dave Umahi, in a communiqué released after their meeting at Government House Enugu, said the idea is to promote economic development in the South East.
He said that the construction of the road will help in transportation from one state to another within the area.
Among the governors who attended the meeting were Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), and Deputy Governor of Imo State, Eze Madumere.
