The Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC has commiserated with President Mohammadu Buhari on the death of his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari, describing the deceased as a dedicated and loyal aide.

In a message released on Wednesday and signed by the Acting Director General of the SEC, Ms. Mary Uduk, she said the SEC received the news of the death of the former Chief of Staff with profound grief and conveyed the deepest condolences of the entire management and staff of the Commission to the President.

According to her “It was with profound grief and sadness that we received the news of the passing of Alhaji AbbaKyari. We pray his gentle soul finds peace with the Creator.

“He was a dedicated and loyal aide, who lived an exemplary life of service. He carried out his duties with utmost diligence till the end, he will be sorely missed by all Nigerians”.

“This is indeed a period of profound grief, but we are consoled by the fact that he lived an exemplary life of dedication and love to both his duties and the country” she stated.

Uduk while stating that the Late Chief of Staff had an unwavering loyalty and commitment to the ideals of the present administration, expressed sadness that he had to depart at this crucial time in the history of the country.

She said Kyari’s death is another reminder of the impact of COVID-19 on the entire world and urged Nigerians to continue to comply with all the directives issued by the Federal Government and relevant agencies during this challenging period

Uduk therefore prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the late Abba Kyari eternal rest and also grant the family and the President the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
