Sirius Petroleum Names New COO To Execute Nigeria Ororo field

Sirius Petroleum, the investing company focused on oil and gas exploration and development opportunities in Nigeria, has appointed Mr. Peter Gregory as Chief Operating Officer (‘COO’).

He has the primary responsibility for all operational areas of the Ororo field and will report directly to the CEO of the Company.

Mr. Gregory, BSc (Hons) Mech Eng has had a distinguished career spanning over 40 years continuous service in drilling and operations in the oil and gas sector, holding senior operational drilling roles with a number of companies including with Lasmo, Premier Oil and BG Group.

His experience over the last ten years has included senior roles on a number of projects around the World.

Commencing with a solid foundation of practical wellsite Drilling Engineering on a variety of projects worldwide, his operational roles progressed through wellsite Supervisory and regional office Drilling Engineering and Management positions, culminating in the Head of Drilling Function position for three independent international Operating Oil Companies.

Since 2003, Gregory continued his career as an independent well engineer and operations/project manager.

He has considerable experience operating in West Africa having been involved in projects where he has performed a lead role over many years. He is a well-known and highly respected industry professional and importantly has extensive experience working with several of Sirius’ Consortium Partners.

Bobo Kuti, CEO of Sirius, commented: “We are very pleased to have recruited someone of Peter’s experience and ability as COO to head-up the drilling and operational side of the Company’s Ororo project.”
