Oil and gas company Sirius Petroleum has entered into an offshore service vessels (OSV) provision contract with Tidewater Marine International for a multi-well campaign under its shallow offshore development strategy in Nigeria.
Tidewater Marine International is the international technical partner of Nigerian marine support company, T1 Marine Services, which will act as contract principals for the company.
Sirius Petroleum CEO Bobo Kuti said: “We are pleased to welcome T1 Marine Services Ltd as our vessels service provider to the Ororo field alongside COSL, ADD Energy and Schlumberger and look forward to moving into the next stage.”
Tidewater Marine International sales and marketing eastern hemisphere director Frank Gibone said: “We are very pleased to have been selected by Sirius as their preferred OSV provider and look forward to working in collaboration with them and their partners in making the Ororo field development a successful venture.”
With this contract, T1 Marine Services will join a project consortium that includes COSL, ADD Energy and Schlumberger to conduct a drilling campaign at the Ororo offshore field.
“T1 Marine Services Ltd and its partners have one of the largest fleets of OSVs in the global industry.”
T1 Marine Services managing director Kingsley Adudu said: “T1 Marine Services Ltd and its partners have one of the largest fleets of OSVs in the global industry.
“We are thrilled to support Sirius’ shallow offshore strategy in Nigeria utilising our vessels for the development and production phase of their operations.”
A fully owned subsidiary of Tidewater Inc, Tidewater Marine International provides OSVs to the global energy industry.
Around 90% of its fleet is engaged in nearly 60 countries and is known to provide crew transportation, towing and anchor handling and other specialised marine support services to the offshore industry.
T1 Marine Services offers a variety of marine support services to the offshore industry of Nigeria operating service vessels for all phases of oil and gas exploration, development and production.
