Terrahex company building modular high-performance computing infrastructure in frontier energy markets, has received its second shipment of ASICs at its US processing hub, with the first batch ready to ship to Nigeria ahead of its December 2026 go-live target.
The batch forms part of Terrahex’s initial ASIC fleet for its first 9MW node in southern Nigeria, moving the project into its next deployment phase, according to Techeconomy report.
Terrahex is preparing the fleet through its US processing, quality assurance, and certification hub in Florida before shipping it to Nigeria, with additional supply options as the company aims to exceed 100MW over the next 24 months.
The Florida hub, supported by technical partner M3 Miner Repair, which provides the repair, testing and quality assurance capacity behind the hub, will prepare the ASICs for the operating demands of the Nigerian terrain, including seasonal Harmattan dust, high heat, and humidity.
Every unit will be inspected, conditioned, and certified before shipment, giving Terrahex a stronger technical baseline before equipment reaches the site.
Terrahex is building a smarter alternative to hyperscale compute infrastructure for markets where power access, bandwidth and cost make conventional data centre models difficult to replicate.
By placing modular high-performance computing infrastructure close to underutilized generation, the company is creating a lower-impact way to turn available power into productive compute capacity. Bitcoin mining is the first commercial workload, with AI compute part of Terrahex’s longer-term infrastructure plan as the company scales.
In parallel, Terrahex has placed orders for medium-voltage and low-voltage equipment to support its recent order for air-cooled 40ft containers from Datacubes, the Belgian manufacturer of mobile data centre units. Each unit has shelf capacity for up to 356 miners and electrical installation capacity of up to 1,300 kW. Together, the containers will receive and house the incoming fleet in Nigeria, with the power equipment supporting the same deployment timeline.
Terrahex’s Power-for-Equity model pairs modular computing infrastructure with underutilized energy assets, enabling the company to build mining infrastructure close to available power. The company has agreements in place with energy partners to provide the platform for its wider pipeline.

With hardware secured, a US hub for testing and conditioning, and purpose-built containers and power equipment on order, Terrahex now holds the core building blocks for its first node ahead of its December 2026 go-live target.
