Unlocking Nigeria’s dairy sector value chain through innovation and technology was the thrust of the inaugural edition of the Tetra Pak West Africa Innovation Day in Lagos.
This event was held to mark the World Milk Day and was attended by a large audience of stakeholders from the manufacturing, agriculture and business sectors.
The theme of the event, was ‘Dairy category – unlocking opportunities deeper in the pyramid’. The event highlighted the current challenges & safety issues within the sector &focused on the importance of innovating in the sector in Nigeria and across West Africa.
In his opening remarks, Managing Director, Tetra Pak West Africa Limited, Mr. Oshiokamele Aruna, said the initiative is targeted at decision makers in the food industry, especially the dairy sector with a view to providing a knowledge sharing platform for future engagements. The overarching objective is to move the industry forward.
Solomon Yu, Marketing Director, said Tetra Pak West Africa is prepared and already collaborating with other stakeholders to make a difference within the Nigerian beverage industry with a long-termview to making food safe and available everywhere.
