A delegation from the Eminent Nigerian Series (ENS), United Kingdom, led by its Founder and Convener, Prince Bimbo Roberts Folayan, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu at Lagos House, Marina, to formally commence work on the Babajide Sanwo-Olu Legacy Project.

The delegation informed the Governor that the 2026 edition of the Eminent Nigerian Series will focus on Lagos State under the proposed title: The Lagos Model: Urban Leadership and Transformation under Babajide Sanwo-Olu, documenting the transformation of Lagos into one of Africa’s leading megacities.

Speaking during the visit, Prince Folayan thanked Governor Sanwo-Olu for receiving the international editorial and documentary team and for the confidence reposed in them to undertake the project.

He noted that the project is an independent, non-political international publication and documentary initiative designed to preserve Governor Sanwo-Olu’s leadership legacy while showcasing Lagos State’s remarkable achievements in infrastructure, transportation, housing, education, healthcare, technology, environmental sustainability, economic development and governance. He explained that the project is not merely a biography of the Governor but the story of modern Lagos and its emergence as Africa’s commercial and financial capital.

Governor Sanwo-Olu welcomed the delegation and commended the Eminent Nigerian Series and the Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Summit (NDDIS) for their longstanding efforts in promoting Nigeria and Lagos to the international investment community. During an extensive interview session, the Governor shared further insights into several landmark initiatives, including the State’s food hubs, new universities, integrated school hubs and other strategic programmes that have significantly contributed to Lagos’ development.

Because of the scale of the assignment, the Eminent Nigerian Series has, for the first time, appointed five Contributing Editors from the United Kingdom and Nigeria, supported by an international documentary production team.

The delegation included Edna Fernandes, Peter L. Walker, Bimbo (Roberts) Oloyede, Funmilola Tella, Adeola Kingsley, and Elvis Krivokuca while Ian Probert and Oluwafunmilayo Braithwaite are also serving as Contributing Editors on the project. The delegation was supported by Olusegun Fafore, Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Relations, Documentation and Repository.

The Eminent Nigerian Series is an educational initiative of the Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Summit (NDDIS), established in the United Kingdom over thirteen years ago to promote leadership excellence, document outstanding public service and mobilise diaspora and international investment for Nigeria’s development.
