The United Nigerian Airline is making adequate preparations toward official kick off of operations by the fourth quarter of 2021.
United Nigeria is proposed to be based at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu State.
The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN which disclosed the development on Thursday in a tweet, said, “United Nigeria Airlines made a demo flight to Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, yesterday.”
The operator said in its official website that the “start up airline expects to receive an air operator’s certificate in the near future and aims to commence domestic services in 4Q 2020.”
The airline said it would operate a fleet of four Embraer E145s initially with services from Enugu to Port Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos.
