Zamfara Police Arrests Notorious  Kidnapper

In its continued onslaught against Armed Bandits, Kidnappers and other criminal elements, the Zamfara State Police Command has succeeded in arresting a notorious Bandit/kidnapper in the person of one Junaidu Shehu “M” of FASA GORA in Bukkuyum LGA.

Credible information revealed that, the suspect has for long become a source of worry to the inhabitants of the said Village and it’s environs, and that he severally conspired with members of his gang to perpetrate most of the attacks and kidnappings against members of the community.

Several instances do abound of his active involvement in killings and kidnappings against the peace loving people of the area.

According to the Police sometime, in 2019, the suspect in concert with other bandits at large invaded Fasa Gora village and kidnapped the daughter of the District Head of the village.

The sum of One Million one Hundred thousand Naira was said to have been paid before the girl regains her freedom.

Similarly, In the same year 2019, the Suspect and his Co- conspirators brutally ambushed and killed Four (4) Vigilante members who were defending the village against all forms of attacks by the bandits.

Conversely, the Suspect, On 1st April 2020, he and his cohorts attacked the same village and killed substantial number of people. The Suspect is currently in Police custody and is assisting the police to arrest his accomplices or partners in crime.

The Suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded, said SP Mohammed Shehu spokesman of the Command.
