As part of effort to ensure total compliance of the state government order on border closure, the enforcement Committee headed by the Commissioner of Police, CP Usman Nagogo has visited Zamfara – Katsina border at  Yankara to assess the level of compliance by members of the public especially motorists.

The Commissioner during the visit expressed satisfaction on the way and manner security operatives were enforcing the order, and appealed to members of the public to exercise patience and be law abiding considering the fact that the order was made to secure the life and property of Zamfara people against the Coronavirus pandemic.

Nagogo while briefing officers and men of the joint security operatives, reminded them on the need to be professional, discretional and be guided by the rules.

He however thanked His Excellency the executive Governor of Zamfara State Dr. Mohammed Bello Matawalle, for the support and encouragement to all the security agencies in the state, a gesture he said has been assisting them in the discharge of their duties effectively.

Similar unscheduled visit will be continuously paid to other borders of the state to ensure things are being done according to planned, the Command said.

The Commissioner during the visit was with other members of the committee that includes;  the Brigade Commander, 1 Brigde Gusau, Brigadier General O M Bello, Director Security Service (DSS) Mr M T Wakili and Commandant NSCDC Aliyu Alhaji Garba among others.
