92% passes recorded as UNIBEN screens13,000

University of Benin has released the results of the Post-Unified Tertiary Examination (PUTME) and Direct Entry screening held recently, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

A statement issued by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Dr Benedicta Ehanire, showed that 92.29 of the 13,331 candidates who sat for the PUTME passed the entrance examination conducted via a computer-based system.

“A total of 13,331 candidates were screened for the PUTME, which recorded a 92.29 per cent pass.

“On the other hand, 538 candidates sat for the PUDE, with 75.28 per cent pass recorded.

The results have been uploaded on the University’s website,” Ehanire said.

NAN recalls that the entrance examination for the 2022/2023 session was held at the Ugbowo campus of the institution between Nov. 14 and Nov. 18. (NAN)
