Binta Bello Leads Discussion At LAAC Conference

The Permanent Secretary in the ministry of aviation Hajia Binta Bello is expected to lead aviation stakeholders across the country to the 21st annual seminar of the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents LAAC to deliberate on critical issues in the country’s aviation sector.

A press statement by the chairman of LAAC Chukwuemeke Iwelunmo explained that Haji Bello will be the special guest of honour at the seminar with its theme ‘Achieving A Win Win Aviation Sector In Nigeria’.

Iwelunmo said issues concerning navigational facilities, Airport infrastructure, civil aviation regulations, challenges and prospects of the aviation industry in Nigeria will be discussed at the one day event.

He noted that aviation in Nigeria has come of age and the panel of discussants will attempt to examine the benefit and otherwise of having a national carrier.

According to Iwelunmo, aviation all over the world remained the mover of the economy adding that Nigeria can not afford to be left behind .

“We have come of age and the nation must feel the impact of the aviation sector in the contribution to the GDP as aviation is one of the key sectors that drive the economy ”

Dignitaries expected to attend the seminar scheduled for 9am prompt Thursday, October 22nd at NCAA Annex include, all the aviation parastatals chiefs, airline operators,  cargo handlers, labour leaders and other stakeholders.
