Corporate leaders across West Africa, colleagues and media industry veterans, have unified to congratulate Dr. Ejike Ndiulo following his formal appointment to the faculty at Covenant University, Ota. The strategic transition marks a significant

win for both the academic and corporate sectors, bringing one of Nigeria’s most respected marketing and communications minds into the lecture halls of one of Africa’s premier private universities.

Dr. Ndiulo, an accomplished C-Suite leader with over 20 years of experience driving market leadership, recently earned his PhD in Strategic Marketing Management from Babcock University. His peers in the media and public relations industries view his move to academia as the ultimate culmination of a career dedicated to elevating corporate communication standards.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Ndiulo has been a passionate, vocal champion for shifting how corporate organizations view the role of public relations. He has consistently used his platforms to advocate for the strategic integration of communication managers into core boardroom decision-making structures, arguing against the traditional view of PR as a mere reactionary tool.

Most recently, as the Chief Thinker at Henryjvaleens Limited, a top-tier public relations, marketing, communications, and corporate consulting firm, he put these exact frameworks into action. In this executive capacity, he routinely advised major corporate clients on brand equity, operational cost reductions, and targeted market penetration strategies.

Before his tenure at Henryjvaleens Ltd, Dr. Ndiulo served as the Head of Corporate Communications at Air Peace Limited, where he engineered high-impact brand campaigns and stabilized investor confidence. His extensive banking footprint also features a decade-long run heading corporate communications at Fidelity Bank Plc, where he managed a multi-billion Naira marketing portfolio.

“For years, Ejike has been a leading voice in our industry, fighting to dismantle the old notion that PR is just an afterthought used to clean up corporate missteps,” said a close professional colleague and industry stakeholder. “Whether managing bank portfolios or acting as Chief Thinker at Henryjvaleens Ltd, he has always proven that true strategic resilience happens when the communication leader has a seat at the boardroom table before decisions are finalized.”

His early career laid an incredibly strong foundation for this boardroom advocacy, featuring pivotal roles as a Business Development Representative for the BBC World Service and Special Projects Manager for the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce (DIHK). He also boasts deep roots in mainstream journalism, having served as an award-winning Senior Financial Correspondent for ThisDay Newspapers.

As a past winner of the Insurance Reporter of the Year and runner-up for Financial Reporter of the Year at the Nigeria Media Merit Awards (NMMA), Dr. Ndiulo maintains active professional affiliations. He remains a highly regarded member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), APCON, and NIMN.

By bringing his deep conviction for proactive reputation risk management and stakeholder mapping to Covenant University, Dr. Ndiulo is uniquely positioned to shape a new generation of business leaders. His students will benefit from a rare curriculum blend that prioritizes empirical marketing research alongside battle-tested, real-world executive insights.

“Covenant University is gaining an absolute powerhouse,” added a senior media executive and long-time friend. “It is rare to find an educator who holds both a rigorous PhD and the real-world boardroom experience that Ejike possesses, and we, his friends in the media, look forward to seeing his impact on the next generation.”
