The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Saleh Dunoma
has called on staff of the agency to develop a  strategic action plan for the closure of open-items identified during the recent audit carried out by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

Dunoma stated this during a meeting with the technical committee drawn from the Departments of Operations, Engineering, Safety and Security.

He therefore implored the committee to provide guidance and support the facilities improvements aimed at addressing open-items identified following the Airport Council International (ACI) APEX evaluation conducted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport, Abuja, and Murtala Mohammed International airport, Lagos.

According to him, “this will further boost our adherence to safety and security baseline, inline with ICAO guidelines.”

Dunoma charged them to work meticulously to meet up with set goals, stressing that the monitoring and evaluation mechanism will be activated for greater productivity.

It would be recalled that the Lagos and Abuja airports were recently evaluated at the instance of the FAAN management
