The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has informed candidates of the Unified Tertiary Examination (UTME) affected by its delisting of some Computer Based Test (CBT) centres to print new slips with details of their rescheduled examination details.
In a statement signed by JAMB’s head of public affairs and protocol unit, Fabian Benjamin, on Monday, the exam body said the new slips were available on its website.
Benjamin said, “Candidates, who were scheduled to take examination in delisted centres can proceed to print their examination notification slips from Sunday, 20th, 2021 for their new schedule date and time.”
The examination commenced on Saturday, 19th June.
He said that the printing of new slips applied only to candidates previously registered in any of the delisted centres.
The Board had announced on Sunday that 25 CBT centres had been delisted from the list of approved centres to make sure that strict adherence to its regulatory standards were maintained.
The centres were delisted due to their disregard for the pre-existing procedures, as well as difficulties experienced by candidates during past examinations.
Benjamin had on Saturday revealed that the delisted centres were spread across 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“The following centres which failed during the conduct of the 2021 UTME on Saturday, June 19, 2021, are hereby delisted. Candidates posted to any of these centres are required to await further directives by checking their profile, email addresses and SMS on their registered phone for a new date,” he said.
Six centres were delisted in Lagos and they are: Massino Computer CBT, Itoga, Badagry; IP Soft Technologies Ltd. Apapa, Lagos State; Institute of Criminal Justice and Criminology Administration, Festac Town; Sweet Valley Educational Services, Ikotun; Certified Institution of Shipping, Magbon, Badagry, and Al-Miyzan Schools CBT Centre, Ikotun.
Those delisted in Kaduna State were Bethel Baptist High School, Kujama; Zabib College, Unguwar Dosa; St. Albert Institute, Kafanchan, and Skolak Resources Ltd.
Two centres were affected in the FCT and which are: Government Secondary School, Garki, and GEF Systems Ltd located at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Dutse Junction while from Plateau state, Plateau State University, Bokkos, and St Augustine’s Academy, Langtang were the affected centres.
In Ondo, centers in both the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, and King Emmanuel College of ICT, Ore, were delisted.
Other affected centres were in Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu from Osun state, Federal College on Education (Special) from Oyo state; Aunty Alice Schools, Mararaba from Nasarawa; Harry Pass Polytechnic CBT Centre, Gboko of Benue state, and Izisco Obos Institute of Maritime Studies and Technology, Warri of Delta state.
JAMB added that 53 more centres had been placed on a watch list, adding that it would not hesitate to delist them if the they continued to err.
“You will recall that 24 centres were delisted for performing below the tolerable limit of the Board while over 40 others were put on the watch list,” said Benjamin.
